Co-opted Christian Holidays

I can understand that Atheists do not believe in Christ and that is fine.If Atheists do not believe in Christ why do the celebrate some of the major Christian holidays?Why choose to co-opt christian holidays and not Muslim,Jewish,Hindi or any other religions holidays.Why is it an Atheist will not celebrating Hanukkah or Kwanzaa instead they will celebrate Christmas.I guess that since Atheist’s choose to co-opt Christian holidays is the reason they wish to take “Christ” out of Christmas so they can rationalize celebrating the day.
This is something I have always been somewhat perplexed by and felt the need to write about it.
